They are both great products and work independently and together if needed. Gastra FX targets discomfort within the stomach region and helps limit gas build up, hay belly discomfort and promotes overall gut health. Biotic 10 is micro encapsulated to work within the intestines and “hind gut” and contains 18.5 billion CFU’s per scoop to help support the growth and development of healthy bacteria which are vital for good gut function. This helps the horse better digest carbohydrates and cellulose which in turn increases the absorption of nutrients.
No. It contains a blend of herbs that collectively help minimise sensitivity to certain stimuli such as farrier or vet visit, travelling and competitions, separation anxiety, noise sensitivity and mild behavioural issues. Horses using Chill will maintain all their performance ability but without any drowsy side effects.
Where our product is in Liquid form this enables it to get to work far quicker than being administered through a normal feed bucket. Liquid products can be delivered through simple syringe into the side of the mouth and most horses like the taste. They are not bitter tasing so most horses readily accept this method. Where a horse will not accept the syringe, it can be added to their feed and fed immediately.
As our products are all-natural based herbal ingredients, they are generally suitable for all horses and ponies, however some elements can respond differently with medications or alter the effectiveness so it is advisable to check with your vet if your horse is prescribed any medications.
Many herbal products work best once they have reached and optimum level within the body therefore some of our products will have a loading dose advised, which will last for a short period of time before reducing back to a maintenance level.
Depending on the level at which you are competing you may need to withhold doses for up to 24 hours prior to competition. While we rigorously test for all known banned substances and we are FEI compliant, if you are unsure then we would recommend withholding a dose for 24 hours prior.
Although we are not yet certified to BETA NOPS or UFAS, we are FEI compliant and all of our products undergo rigorous testing before, during and after manufacture to ensure their purity and safety. We manufacture all of our products in house to Good Manufacturing Practice standards and in accordance with Health Canada regulations. However, where testing is mandatory for your particular competition level you may wish to withhold product prior to competing. If in doubt please feel free to contact us and we can help further with clarification.

We have a very wide product range in Canada that has grown over our 30 year history and are very keen to bring these to the UK so more people and pets can benefit from them. At the moment we are focusing on the Equine range but in time and subject to rigorous legislation we will introduce these to you.
